The only thing I wonder after this is does Ritchie have skating issues or is his skating above average?

It's a pick with a lot of puns attached to be sure. Yet it's not like this guy doesn't have the talent to be effective on the offense, it just happens to be with a guy who also has a lot of size and aggressiveness to his game. Seems like a pretty win/win situation to have someone who does use his size out there and has the skills to take advantage of that.

Big issue does seem to be consistency (take a number on the amount of guys who have that as an issue) and durability concerns which are pretty common for guys who play that kind of game.

With the guys left on the board at this spot there's certainly a number of directions the Leafs could go. Have proven they will take pure skill in the top 10 of a draft (Kadri, Rielly) so easily could see Ehlers or maybe even Nylander going there. But Ritchie isn't a bad pick either.

Honestly, not a pick that would overly surprise me. Seems like a lot of scouting groups have him in that top 10 area so certainly could end up going there.
